"Many of the emotional experiences to which we aspire we only know from songs. Many things which we have been capable of doing and coping with as a society we might not have been able to do without songs.”
~From “Songwriting and The Creative Process” by Steve Gillette
Dear Friends,
Pompanuck Farm is hosting a monthly Songwriters Exchange beginning on Sunday, February 10 from 7-10pm.
Come and hear live, original music from area singer/songwriters and participate in discussion on the creative process. Hosted by Scott Carrino and Ferrilyn Sourdiffe, the Exchanges will be held at the Round House at Pompanuck, 494 Chestnut Hill Road, Cambridge, NY.
February 10 performers will be:
Stephen Alcorn, Deena Smith Chappell, David Lawlor, Bruce Wheat, Scott and Ferrilyn.
Admission is $5. Desserts, coffee and tea will be available for purchase.
Come and be a part of our local creative community- it is our hope to bring together a diverse group of area musicians- the songwriting process often happens as a solitary endeavor and we feel it will be beneficial to our communities of both creators and listeners of music to delve into this process together.
If you are a singer/songwriter and would like to participate in these monthly exchanges, please contact Scott or Ferrilyn.
